Elizabeth Feinler
Elizabeth Feinler was born on March 2nd, 1931 and she is still alive at the age of 91. She went to West Liberty University and got her degree in chemistry in 1954. Afterwards, she did graduate work at Purdue University in biochemistry.
Major Computer Science Achievements:
- She was an information scientist in the Information Research Department at SRI International in 1960
- She helped create the first reference library for ARPANET
- Also, she had a part in the Defense Data Network as well as the Network Information Centers
Minor Achievements:
- She worked on nutritional supplements for phenylketonuria at Shuman Chemical Company
- In 1958 she was an assistant editor for the Chemical Abstracts 5th Decennial index in Columbus Ohio
